Class description: in this Level II class we'll make a dress or shirt from a commercial pattern. You'll learn advanced techniques which may include invisible zipper installation, sleeve inset, front placket (button and buttonholes), collars and cuffs, pattern/garment alterations, facings, edgestitching/topstitching, and blind hemming. Come to the first class with your pattern, washed and dried yardage (if you intend to wash/dry your finished garment) and 1/2 yard of interfacing (fusible, non-woven). In the first class we'll focus on making any necessary pattern alterations, then you'll cut out the garment without fear. We'll move on to put it together in the following sessions and you'll finish class with a completed garment and skills to move on to more advanced projects.
